The ride begins and ends at Georgetown High School in Georgetown, TX. The ride benefits the Autism Society of Central Texas. All proceeds stay local to fund programs, promote education ... moreand awareness, and provide access to resources for families living with Autism.

Registration for the ride is $50 for all distances and for the Fun Run/Walk is $25. The registration fee includes an event T-shirt as well as as lunch after the event and snacks and drinks at multiple rest stops along the routes.

If you can't make it out to the ride/run then you can also register as a fundraiser for free.

ROUTES are of approximately 9, 24, and 42, and 68 miles with START & FINISH at Georgetown High School. All routes pedal through moderately flat terrain interspersed with rolling hills on the eastern side of Williamson County. Riders must obey all traffic laws. Helmets must be worn. Rest stops will be available throughout the ride. SAG vehicles will be patrolling the routes to help with mechanical troubles and to pick up riders with any problems. Please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor problems.

RIDE STARTS AT 7:30 am with no riders leaving after 9:00 am. All riders must finish by 2:00 pm, so choose a route that gives you plenty of time to finish.

The walk and fun run will begin at 9:30 am and the post-event party will follow. See the full event schedule for more details.

The course is mostly rolling hills. It goes out west to Bertram where it meets the Texas Rando Stampede Route, heading north to Valley Mills before returning.

Starting location: Candlewood Suites 451 N IH 35 , Georgetown, TX This is a 400k day 1 followed by a 200k day 2. Both days you start and finish in Georgetown near hotels. The start ... moreis at the Candlewood Suites on the corner of Northwest Blvd. and IH 35. The first day is a mostly out and back heading north to Valley Mills (the turn around). The second day is a loop heading east to Rockdale then west to Florence. We are currently looking at using the Candlewood Suites as the hotel of choice. WHERE: Rentsch Brewery

GEORGETOWN, Texas –– Rentsch Brewery is the title sponsor with Don’t Fear the Finger Prostate Health for the 2017 Austin Community Ride on September 9.

Beginning from Rentsch Brewery, the ride will be a scenic route through the Georgetown and Austin area with 3 different mileages- approximately 24, 46, and 60 miles for varying riding expertise. Along the path will be rest stops and after the ride beer will be served from local breweries along with a barbecue meal.

Don’t fear the Finger is a registered non-profit that has hosted this annual event for a few years running. In 2016, there were close to 500 riders and that number may almost double for 2017. The profits help to fund prostate exams, increased awareness and the freedom to speak about these issues for “stubborn men” according to their website.

Regular Registration is $45 and same-day registration is $50 and are tax-deductable. Any additional support for the cause will grant the donor merchandise from the event at varying levels from $100 to $8500.

Packet pickup will be Thursday, September 7 before the ride from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

New this year! Early Bird registration is from December 10th - January 25th! Early Bird registration is $40 for all bike ride distances and $10 for each Fun Run/Walk participants. Don't wait, register early and save some money! After January 25th the registration prices will increase to $50 for all bike ride distances and will be $25 for the first person and $10 for additional family members for the Fun Run/Walk. The 5K Fun Run/Walk around the grounds of Georgetown High School is suitable for younger children who want to bike, walk, or run. Strollers welcome! The 5K Fun Run/Walk will be a different course this year, with 5 laps around Georgetown High School grounds. The walk and fun run will begin at 10:00 am and the post-event party will follow.
