Welcome to the Pedal Thru The Pines! The Family Crisis Center invites you to our 14th Annual Pedal Thru The Pines for a fun-filled cycling event that directly supports the programs ... moreand service offered by the Center. This year cyclists will enjoy riding the country roads of Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties that are close to the parks. The routes provide a unique experience for cyclists of every level. Well stocked rest stops, friendly volunteers and a top notch veteran SAG Team add to the success of this event.


Distances of 24, 40, 70 miles (on paved roads).

All routes have SAG support, rest stops with restrooms and refreshments.

BP MS 150 Recommended Ride.

Mechanical support at the start and at all rest stops.

For those coming to packet pickup at Nelo's you will be eligible for 15% anything in stock, excluding bikes.

Day of Ride in Bastrop: Vernon L. Richards Riverbend Park at 107 Hwy 71W, Smithville, TX 78957 starting at 6:30AM until the start of the ride at 9 AM, Saturday, March 12th, 2016.

Larry's Smokehouse BBQ available for Breakfast and Lunch

Larry's Smokehouse BBQ will be serving breakfast and lunch at the start/finish area. The following payment forms accepted: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Bank debit/credit cards & cash.

Breakfast Items: Breakfast Tacos - assorted, Coffee, juice, donuts, and sweet rolls.

Lunch Menu: Loaded Baked Potato with Chopped Beef, Chopped Beef Sandwich, Sliced Beef Sandwich, Sausage Wraps, Chicken, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw and Beans.


Each year, the Center orders t-shirts for cyclists riding in Pedal Thru The Pines. A t-shirt will be available for cyclists who pre-register for the event. T-shirts and packets can be picked up by pre-registered cyclists the day of the event beginning at 6:30 AM. T-shirts for cyclists who register the day of the event will be distributed, based on availability, after the ride. For cyclists registering on the day of the event, it is not possible for us to guarantee a shirt, or shirt of your desired size.

We only guarantee a t-shirt to the first 800 cyclists.

The 27th annual Bluebonnet Express will start from Waller ISD Stadium in Waller, Texas, 45 miles northwest of Houston. This fully supported ride is one of the Houston area’s ... moreoldest rides and is presented by Northwest Cycling Club.

Six different distances/routes will be offered, traversing both south and north of Hempstead, mostly on country roads. Cyclists will encounter both flat sections and gentle rollers. This BP MS 150 recommended ride is only a few weeks before the MS 150 which makes this an excellent training opportunity.

"Open start" means that you can leave the start line when you are ready. No “mass start”.

We recommend you pick up your packet early to avoid the crowd on the morning of the ride!

Why Join Us ? Just Ride For A Just Cause is an MS150 Recommended bike ride on the west side of the Greater Houston Metropolitan area. The proceeds from the JR4JC ride supports Passion ... morefor Humanity on the fight against human trafficking.

The ride starts at Simonton community Church, Simonton, TX. We have something for everyone, a short family scenic ride, for the less experienced, to a longer more challenging ride for the serious rider, with multiple routes in between.

Our Mission is to increase awareness of and offer support for victims of sex trade and commercial sexual exploitation in the greater Houston Area.

We all can help to stop this slavery and create a safe environment for our community.

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. and the ride begins at 8:30 a.m.

We will have a staggered start with the longest distance riders leaving first. Lunch is provided for all participants.

Ride in comfort knowing that there will be breakpoints every 10 – 15 miles. Refreshments will be provided at all breakpoints to keep you hydrated and energized. Your safety and well-being is our major concern, as we offer well planned routes, police escorts through major intersections, and mechanical and medical support at the rest stops. SAG vehicles and Ride Marshall support also is included.

NOTE: All routes involve extensive time on public roadways. All traffic laws and MS150 requirements must be followed.


Passion for Humanity is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to increase awareness of and offer support for victims of sex trade and commercial sexual exploitation in the greater Houston area. We provide and promote local community and sporting events such as the Just Ride For a Just Cause, as a vehicle to generate awareness and aid in the restoration of victims of modern-day slavery. Proceeds from this events will be used to support Human trafficking victims by providing aftercare in the form of housing, counseling, healthcare and education programs.

Human trafficking is a form of modern day slavery where people profit by deceiving, controlling, coercing and exploiting others. The victims of human trafficking include children involved in the sex trade, adults age 18 or over who are coerced or deceived into commercial sex acts, and anyone forced into different forms of "labor or services" against their will. It is very real and happens all around us.

With three distance options, the Brazos River Bike Rally is the perfect event for leisure riders or cycling enthusiasts.

All 20, 40, and 60 mile routes are routinely supported with rest stops, hydration products, food to fuel the journey and cheerleaders to encourage your effort.

Rally events take place on paved roads. They can be urban or rural setting, or a combination of both. The topography can range from flat to mountainous, creating events with a wide variety of character. This is classic bike racing and events are held on every continent.

7:15 am. Easter Sunrise Service. Meet on the outdoor patio off the registration area at Schreiner University. Cycling and casual wear are welcome.

All cyclists will ride through the beautiful picturesque countryside; scenic course/route includes some challenging rolling hills with some long fast flats as it winds through several rural towns. As always, the routes will have an abundance of rest stops approximately every 10 miles.

This year s ride will again offer a special route enabling the cyclist to experience one half of the Ark-La-Tex Challenge. The 35 mile Ark-La-Tex route will offer a supported return the 3 States Rest Stop.

12th Annual Bicycle Ride - 2016: The 12th annual H4H Bike ride is sponsored by the Washington County Rotary Club. Located on Hwy 290 just outside Brenham, Texas. The ride has three ... morechallenging courses: Short 26 miles, Moderate 43 miles, and long 62 miles. This is a great training ride through the bluebonnets and pastoral backroads of Washington County. This ride is well supported with SAG vehicles, rest stops, Bike Mechanics, and traffic control at major intersections by The WC Sherrifs Dept and Citizens On Patrol.

Enjoy an exhilarating ride through the hills of northeast Washington County while partaking of a visual feast of bucolic scenery and, with the cooperation of Mother Nature, a magnificent of display of wildflowers. 

The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department will again provide a hamburger repast to recharge your batteries after the ride (extra charge).

What: The Rosedale Ride is an annual charity bicycle ride with routes of 23, 42, and 62 miles and a children’s fun ride of 2 miles. Begins and ends at Samsung Austin Semiconductor.

Why: The Rosedale Ride raises money for the Rosedale Foundation, a (501-c3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to support the children of Rosedale School, AISD’s only school exclusively for children with multiple disabilities and profound needs.
