Scenic ride in northeast Williamson County through the San Gabriel river valley. The ride will start in San Gabriel Park in Georgetown and head through Grainger, Bartlett and Schwartner. ... moreWe'll ride at a moderate pace and re-group at all major turns; the Ride with GPS route map is attached for electronic downloading. I'll have cue sheets as well. There is a store stop at 20 miles in Grainger and options for stops in Bartlett and Schwartner as well.

The ride willl start and end in San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, at the parking area at at the end of Chamber Way drive. If you are heading north on I-35, take exit 262 for Williams Drive. Turn right onto Williams Drive, then left at the light onto North Austin Ave. Chamber Way will be a short distance down on your right. The parking area is is at the end of the drive. There are bathroom facilities at this location.

Helmets are mandatory. Please arrive early enough to prepare yourself + bike, have the 5-minute safety briefing and then be ready for an on-time departure.

Join the Easy Riders for 26.7 miles through rolling countryside east of Georgetown. May visit Corn Hill Church or stop for snacks in Weir. Suitable for advance beginners, who can ride ... morethe stated distance above at an average pace close to our 11 mph minimum, older, social riders or experienced riders wanting a leisurely pace. Group will either meet up at turns, or have individuals mark the turns until the sweep arrives depending on the rider mix. Afterwards we will eat in Georgetown.

Please note During the summer the rides will be self-organizing amongst the easy riders’ members that show up for the ride. More of a meet up format. Please make sure you are familiar with Bike Austin - Waiver and Release of Liability since you are agreeing to these terms if you ride. A leader and sweep will be selected from the group and either mark turns or wait for the entire group at turns. Also make sure to introduce yourself to other riders.

From I-35 take exit #265 north of Georgetown. Turn right as if you were getting on 130 southbound. Stay on frontage road to stop sign. This is County Road 152 (no sign), turn left. Berry Springs Park is on the left in about 1 mile.

Let's beat the heat. Ride start from Berry Spings Park outside of Georgetown. A slightly modified verision with a trek up Gooseneck road. Meet in the back, past the entrance to the ... morecampground near the pavillions and restrooms. Route passes through greater Walburg, New Corn Hill and downtown Schwertner on our way to Bartlett. We'll pass by the Barlett State Jail on our way through the Opossum Creek watershed and back to Berry Springs. This is a flat route with quiet roads and a lot of sky. It includes some classic Texas chip seal, so air your tires accordingly.

Helmets required. Safety briefing at 6:55 AM, the ride departs at 7:00AM. Public rest rooms and parking is available near the pavilions, in the back past the campground.

Daylight Savings Time Starts TODAY-----Let's try this Sunday---trying for better weather-- (temp./wind/sun)!! Ride start is from Berry Spings Park outside of Georgetown. Meet in the ... moreback near the pavillions and restrooms. Route passes through greater Walburg, New Corn Hill and downtown Schwertner on our way to Bartlett. This is a flat route with quiet roads, but does include some classic Texas chip seal. Air your tires accordingly. Join us for this new/old route in the relatively flat expanses of east Central Texas. We'll ride through the quiet farm/ranch lands of east Williamson County. We'll travel on some quiet country roads doing a steady "B" paced (14-16 mph) no-drop ride, with re-grouping as needed at the next turn. We'll have our store stop in Bartlett at 28 miles. Total climbing is just over 1500 ft. (per RIDEwithGPS)

NOTE I: I do not have maps of this route, but good Q-sheets will be provided and the RIDEwithGPS link is provided here for downloading.

NOTE II: Helmets are required on ALL Bike Austin rides.

Come with your equipment ready to ride 50 miles, in time to get signed-in and participate in the starter's meeting at 8:45 AM, for a prompt roll-out at 9:00 AM. Let's all hope for the (as forecasted) nice calm winds & mild temps. !!

Berry Springs Park is located on CR 152 east of Georgetown and east of Toll 130 (see the map shown below). Rest Rooms are open/available at the rear (upper level) of the parking area.

Come push yourself to your limit. Bring your friends! Everyone is welcome. You may easily make your own route off of the main route for a short version if you would like to do something ... moreother than the 166 or 104 mile routes, for example. ALL are invited. You do not need to be a Cyclopath to participate. Everyone is welcome! There is no registration since this ride is unsupported and just for fun. Ride at your own pace or go with your friends. The idea is that you ride further than your longest ride ever or maybe just your longest ride this year. Ride starts and ends at Rentsch Brewery in Georgetown. Store stops are available along the way in Sun City Market, Bertram, Briggs, Ding Dong, Salado, Rogers, Granger. Bring lights but most should finish before 6 PM. Download route and be prepared to change your own flats and always obey rules of the road for safety! 166 mile route expected to finish around 5 PM.
