Nice black leather saddle bags for vintage bicycle or your horse or pony. Great condition all leather with brass buckles. Bags are 10-1/2 inch x 10 inch. All stitches are good. Very slight wear.
Western Steer Enamel Plate Up for auction. A Western Enamel Chef Plate with a decorated Steer Head centered in the plate. The main color of the plate is a beige and outlined in the black enamel. Along the edges. There are two painted arms. Dressed like it has a white Chef's coat and black gloves. On two other sides, looks like a canister of Seasoning and a Mustard jar. So, to me, it looks like a BBQ plate that you would put a slab of meat on, hense the steer. On the back, there is a faded backstamp that looks like it may read, Made in Mexico" The plate measures 10 1/4" in diameter. It has no major chips. There is some enamel wear on the top edge. As you can see in my pic. There is an enamel scratch, about 3/4" long, on the beige, then at the same area on the back, black edge, there are two enamel ware areas. No other enamel ... morewear. There's alittle paint loss spots on the steer's left horn. The black dot you may see on the right of the plate is a black paint dot. A few surfaces scratches, but looks like this was just used as a display. I will be happy to combine shipping for any items I have up for auction or in my store. Up for auction is a used pair of hand made western spurs by Texas spur maker George Blackwood. They come with a nice set of spur straps with silver buckles and steer heads. The spurs have single mounted engraved silver scroll design overlay on the bands and shanks. The antique brown steel or iron bands are 1-1/4" wide. The heel openings are about 3-1/4" wide and 3" deep. The shanks measure approximately 2" long. The 8 point rowels are 1-1/4" in diameter with rounded ends. The buttons are plain. Each spur is marked G Blackwood on the plain side of the bands. The light oil leather spur straps have marked Silver Plate buckles with a silver steer head and barbed wire concho. The straps are not maker marked. The spurs and straps are in pretty good used condition with normal wear and no significant damage. The spurs do ... morehave some rust and scuffs in various places- my photos will be the best description of this wear. One rowel has more rust than the other but both spin freely. The straps are in good shape with a few scuffs and marks on the leather. This is a good looking pair of spurs and straps that would make great using spurs or a nice addition to your collection of western cowboy gear. The used George Blackwood spurs with straps sell with no reserve. Good luck and thank you for looking and for bidding. PAYMENT: Payment is expected within 6 days of the end of the auction. This is a vintage pair of Kelly spurs made by Kelly probably from the 1940’s. Kelly is listed in Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin. They are marked Kelly by the hangers on the outside of both heel bands. The spurs are steel and are single mounted with engraved nickel silver with the steer head motif on the outside bands. These spurs have seen some use and have pitting in the steel. Oversized rowel holes, and marks on the mountings. This would be a nice old pair to add to a collection. This is an estate find and sadly age and history are not known to us. It is an oval belt buckle made from nickle silver(normally marked Alpaca or German Silver) and is not a metal of worth. It has the look and the ability to tarnish just like silver but is merely an alloy of metals. It is Oval. Raised godl colored metal(probably plated or brass etc) steers head. The decoration is hand cut but of course has been enhanced by inlaid mother of pearl for that extra glitz. Measures approximately 3 3/8th inch by 2 1/2 inches approximately. Nice but used condition. Marked on the rear ALPACA HECHO EN MEXICO. An emblem is visible but looks like flames to me. Still a wonderful addition to your collection. Please Review all photographs for this item!
