APCO Prima XL paragliding or paramotor wing. It has only been flown a few times. Been stored inside the house for years. I just opened and kited it last week for pics. Great student wing or tandem wing. Wing looks in great condition. It was used with a walkerjet paramotor with trike(not included in auction) Weight range 95-120kg.
APCO Karma size L 100-130 kg. DHV-1. This glider is in like new condition. It was only flown a couple of times. There is no damage or repairs. A great first wing. APCO builds their wings out of bomb proof Gelvenor material that lasts forever. Please remember. The weight of the pilot fully clothed PLUS the weight of all of the equipment must fit in this weight range in order for it to be the right size. Typical equipment(wing, harness, reserve parachute, helmet, variometer, gps, camera, etc, etc. weighs about 40lbs, or about 18kgs. that means that you need to add 40lbs(18kg) to your fully clothed weight, then put that in the weight range to make sure it is a good fit. This is a complete paraglider package including the wing. Harness, and reserve parachute. All of this equipment is in fabulous condition and barely used. The owner is a past student of mine and was too busy with work to ever use it. It was literally only flown a dozen times or so and is very clean with no damage or wear. The glider is a 2008 APCO Vista size Large 100-125 kg DHV 1-2. Remember to add about 40 lbs of gear to your clothed weight and then divide it by 2.2 in order to find out the correct weight to insert in the weight range. If you are not between 100 and 125 kilograms then this glider is the wrong size for you. And it is generally accepted in the paragliding community that it is better to be in the top half of the weight range. This glider is a step up from an entry level wing. Very good condition only 50hrs. We baught this in 2009 from a flight school with intentions of getting lessons and using it. That never happend and the glider has been folded in a closed box ever since we bought it. Only took it out for the pictures. However everything seems a little dusty. Don't know a lot about paragliders but this one has the speed trim lines on it. The wing is a 33. Top is all red except the apco logo on the tips of the wing. PARAGLIDER APCO Vista size medium. Weight range 85-105kg, 75 hours, DHV 1-2, Made in 2008. This wing is certified as a DHV 1-2 which means that it is just a step above an entry level wing. This wing is in good condition. It does have a repaired rip though. The rip has been repaired with repair tape, please see the photo. There is also some slight discoloration on one spot of the wing, I think it is from the APCO logo, please see the photo. A porosity test is one of the best ways to determine how much life is left in a paraglider. A porosity meter is used to suck.25 liter of air through the fabric on the top sail along the leading edge of the canopy and it is timed to see how long it takes. The longer it takes, the better and the less porous the fabric is. Over time UV radiation will make the fabric more porous and the porosity readings become ... moreshorter. On a new wing it will take 10+ minutes(depending on the fabric) to suck a quarter of a liter of air through. When it takes as little as 15 seconds then the glider is considered to fail porosity and is no longer air worthy any more. This wing is averaging 46 seconds along the leading edge, so I would say that conservatively, it has one good season left in it. Then it would be best for just using as a ground-handling/kiting only wing. This would be a good option for someone who wants a glider for practicing without beating up their better wing. I have a Apco Aviation Paragliding Chute(PPG) with a custom Apco Backpack For Sale. I purchased it a few years ago and through a series of life changing events. Never used it. The wing is rated a large. Which supports a 220 lbs. min. to a 264.5 lbs. maximum weight(including pilot and engine) The previous pilot used it approximately 60 hours. I never used it. There have been no tears or rips in it and it has no patches and all the lines look really great no fraying or damage to the lines. There are some stains on the bag and some minor stains on the kite itself there is some fading of the color on the lines but nothing appears to be only cosmetic. It works really great for practicing ground-handling/kiting. This wing would be best for just using as a ground-handling/kiting only wing no flying. This would be a good option for someone who wants a glider for ground handling/practicing without beating up their better wing. Again I would not fly with this wing I would only practice on the ground. I am not sure about the ... moresize of this wing or it's weight capacity or the date of manufacture. I can't tell you that I love it and it has been a great wing for me I have practice to the point that I have really mastered ground handling and my next step is flying. This Apco Karma is a great wing for the beginner to intermediate paragliding or paramotor pilot. Weight range for pilot is 60kg to 90kg. This wing comes with 2 sets of risers one for paragliding and one with modified trimmers for paramotoring. Manufacture date is June 19 2007 and is DVH-1 certified. Used apco aviation paraglider harness orange and black decent condition I will clean it up before I sell it.I bought this a few years ago and never used it.Only hung from it on carport to make sure it would hold me.It did.it would make a good first harness.
This is Apco's original reversible harness. I've had this harness for years. As you can see it has some areas of delamination of the outer protective layer near the stress points where the backpack straps are attached. None of these areas have anything to do with the integrity of the load-bearing webbing, so you definitely don't have to worry about falling out of the sky, but its protective qualities in case of impact should be considered compromised. It does have limited life left, I would recommend it for occasional hike-and-flys or as a zip-line harness, but not as a regular-use paragliding harness. $30 shipping is for lower 48 only, all other shipping will be at cost. The color of this paraglider is called the Brazilian and is seen in the second picture. This paragldier has two flights and less than 1 hour of UV exposure.
