PARAGLIDER Gin Zulu. Size medium 85-105kg, DHV 1-2, 2005. This wing would make an awesome kiting/ ground-handling only glider. and that is about it because it is right on the verge of failing the porosity test. A porosity test is one of the best ways to determine how much life is left in a paraglider. A porosity meter is used to suck.25 liter of air through the fabric on the top sail along the leading edge of the canopy and it is timed to see how long it takes. The longer it takes, the better and the less porous the fabric is. Over time UV radiation will make the fabric more porous and the porosity readings become shorter. On a new wing it will take 10+ minutes(depending on the fabric) to suck a quarter of a liter of air through. When it takes as little as 15 seconds then the glider is considered to fail porosity and is no longer air worthy ... moreany more. This wing is averaging 18 seconds along the leading edge, so I would say that it shouldnt be flown anymore. even though the previous owner was flying it right up until he traded it in towards a new wing. The guy who sold it to him as a used glider said that it had way less time on it than it actually did. That is why it is very important to insist on a porosity test when purchasing a second hand glider and to even watch the test with your own eyes if possible. Or to have a third party like a reputable school or repair center do the test. This wing would be a good option for someone who wants a glider for practicing without beating up their better wing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FLYING THIS WING. IT IS FOR GROUND HANDLING AND KITING ONLY. Old porous wings may kite and ground-handle just fine, but are more likely to enter a parachutal stall when flying and do not recover well from collapses anymore. In other words, this wing is not airworthy. This auction DOES NOT include a harness or emergency reserve parachute. It is for the wing only. Please remember. The weight of the pilot fully clothed PLUS the weight of all of the equipment must fit in the weight range in order
PARAGLIDER APCO Vista size medium. Weight range 85-105kg, 75 hours, DHV 1-2, Made in 2008. This wing is certified as a DHV 1-2 which means that it is just a step above an entry level wing. This wing is in good condition. It does have a repaired rip though. The rip has been repaired with repair tape, please see the photo. There is also some slight discoloration on one spot of the wing, I think it is from the APCO logo, please see the photo. Then it would be best for just using as a ground-handling/kiting only wing. This would be a good option for someone who wants a glider for practicing without beating up their better wing. Or maybe a inexpensive way to get started out. This auction DOES NOT include a harness or emergency reserve parachute. It is for the wing only. Please remember. PARAGLIDER Sol Ellus. Size L, 90-110kg, 30 hours. This wing is certified as a DHV 1-2 which means that it is just a step above an entry level wing. Made in 2006. 90-100kg size L, kind of a smaller size large as most size large wings on the market are 100-130kg This wing is in very good condition with only about 30 hours on it. No damage or repairs. It was landed in a field that once had a fire in it so there are some charcoal marks in a few places. Please see the photo. As a conservative instructor, I would recommend this wing for someone who will be flying often and not getting rusty as it demands a bit more of the pilot compared to an entry level wing. You could learn on this glider but I wouldn't recommend it because it would make it more frustrating to learn. This wing is like new because I bought it shortly before moving somewhere without any mountains for paragliding. It is still very crisp with excellent porosity. Being a DHV 1/2. It is excellent for a beginner pilot who wants to step up to a higher performance glider, but who still wants a wing that is safe and easy to handle. The package also includes a Nova paraglider backpack in excellent condition. PARAGLIDING BRAND NOVA MODEL ION SIZE 19(XS) CLASS DHV 1-2/ EN B NOVA ION. SIZE 19(X-SMALL) 19 METRES SQUARE DHV 1/2- MANUFACTURED 2013- IN FLIGHT WEIGHT 60- 8O KGS COMES WITH RUCKSACK. ALL LINES NEW. REPAIRED BY PROFESSIONALS. RUCKSACK AND SPEED BAR. NEW. ANY QUESTIONS. PLEASE ASK MANUFACTURER INFORMATION Features Development: The development of the ION took quite some time. Its predecessor. The ROOKIE, is a very safe and forgiving glider characterised by good performance and pleasant handling. There are currently around 2500 pilots flying the ROOKIE because of these qualities. The ROOKIE has raised the bar for the ION and it took a lot of development ... moreand testing work to finally get the safety. Handling characteristics and performance which we wanted for a successor to the ROOKIE. During this development process, we built and tested many prototypes with different aerofoils, plan forms and line setups. Flying the ION: The ION is extremely responsive in comparison with other low end gliders. Despite the big available brake travel. The ION can be piloted very precisely and sensitively in thermals. The glider is well damped and the brake travel before stalling the wing is very long. So beginners and low air-time pilots can enjoy safe and relaxed flights. Due to the precise and agile handling characteristics, the wing is responsive enough for even more experienced pilots to enjoy. If you fly in turbulent conditions. You will immediately notice the directional stability through bumpy air. This is mainly a result of the changed line setup(just one unsuspended centre cell, instead of three) This also helps in thermals, because the pilot isn’t pushed out of a strong thermal core. In combination with the very responsive brake, thermalling the ION is very relaxed and easy. Flying accelerated is very easy and we have cons
PARAGLIDING BRAND NIVIUK MODEL HOOK 2 SIZE 23(S) CLASS DHV 1/2 NIVIUK HOOK 2. SIZE 23(SMALL) SIZE 23 METRES SQUARE DHV 1/2- MANUFACTURED 2012- IN FLIGHT WEIGHT 55- 85 KGS COMES WITH RUCKSACK. INNER BAG, SPEED BAR AND MANUAL 30 HOURS FLYING ONLY STORED IN HOUSE IN DRY DARK CONDITIONS MADE IN 2013. WITHOUT ANY IMPORTANT DEFECT. HAS 3 PATCHES AT THE ENDS. REPAIRED BY PROFESSIONALS. ANY QUESTIONS. PLEASE ASK MANUFACTURER INFORMATION Features The Niviuk Hook paraglider is an intermediate DHV 1-2. With plenty of performance, but not a DHV 2 wing that slipped through the system! No category is more competitive than DHV 1-2 paragliders. Pilots looking for a DHV 1-2 wing are looking for performance with a strong margin of safety. There may be some“hot” 1-2’s that will beat a Niviuk Hook paraglider on a really long glide, but there is always a compromise. ... moreThe Hook has a great feel in thermals, turns naturally and consistently. Niviuk’s Hook has amazing climbing performance too. Taking the Hook through a maneuvers course you will find it responds amazingly benignly on all the deflations, popping out so fast it is really hard to work to get it to simulate big deflations. The wing also has such a great feel that you will avoid deflations even in really nasty air by paying a bit of attention and flying the Hook actively. There have been many pilots who started on a Niviuk Hook DHV 1-2 as their first wing. An initial reluctance was that it has so much performance that it must be only for more advanced pilots, yet the built in safety and its relatively benign nature make it a great paraglider option for a talented beginner, as well as a paraglider for experienced pilots What you've been waiting for! Niviuk continues their trait of waiting until they have a major improvement in each model before they bring out a sequel. And the Hook2 is no exception. It is in fact an exceptional wing, with many improvements, both dramatic and subtle ones, over the popular Hook. The Hook2 is the next generation DHV 1/2. EN B rating, with
This tandem glider is used and has a little bit of life left in it. Maybe one season. It is scoring around 30-40 seconds on a porosity test. When it takes as little as 15 seconds then the glider is considered to fail porosity and is no longer air worthy any more. The really great feature on this tandem glider is the unique ... moreability to change the size of it by zipping up a large zipper which folds in 3 cells which makes it go from a 43.9 square meter wing to a 40.7 square meter wing. The weight range unzipped is 140-220kg and zipped it is 110-180kg. One repair that I am aware of, we replaced a pulley that the brake line runs through, please see the picture. This is for the wing only and a rucksack, no spreader bars are included. No harnesses or reserve parachute is included.

The center was closer to 30-40 seconds and the wingtips were closer to 100 seconds. So, I would feel confident saying this wing has at least one good season left in it. My friend gave me this wing after I got my P2. I am the only person to fly on this wing. I have gained a bit of weight since he gave this to me. It has 17 hrs and 55 min of total flight time. There is the tiniest tear in the leading edge which has been fixed. I attached a photo of this. Other than that, the wing is still very crispy. The sale is for the wing, backpack, rucksack, and concertina bag. It does not include a harness. These were about $4000 new, the concertina was an extra $100, I am asking less than half and including free shipping to the lower 48. I am trying to get the most amount of money for my buddy who let me use this to get started. It is a great wing after you get your P2. The wing I learned to fly on. Purchased directly from Pro-Design representative and quite famous flight and bungee jumping instructor in Poland. Bogdan"Gul" Kopka(http:www.bungee-gul.pl/ whom I had a pleasure to have as my coach as well. I flew this wing for less than three years- since the winter of 2000. When I got my license, till the spring of 2002, when I moved to the US. My flights were for the most part simple glides from the tops of the mountains in Southern Poland, with denivelation of about 300 m. With average flight length of under 10 minutes. I estimate the total use of about 100 such flights, or under 10 hours in the air. The wing has been in storage. Nicely packed and always dry, for the past 13 years. The fabric is crisp as it was back then. All lines look as in good shape- to the best of my visual inspection. Looking ... moreto find a good new home. Thanks!
