Here is a vintage Concertone C melody sax for parts or repair. It looks to me like it's probably an H.N. White King stencil. It has the keys that ... morecome to a point in the middle and key guards look right. The serial number is 77083 which would date it about 1924 on the King list. It's actually in really good condition but it's missing the neck. It is nickel plated and the plating is good all over with some moderate frosting except for a spot right next to the bell key. All the keys work easily. The pads are white. Probably original and are in great shape for their age, but I'd guess it would need new pads to play since they're so old. There are some small dings on the end bow and some small nicks elsewhere. It has a receipt showing it was brought in for service in 1969"no gooseneck" It doesn't have a case or mouthpiece. A nice horn in search of a neck!

You're looking a beautiful Low Pitch(License Pat. Dec. 1914) C Melody SELMER New York Saxophone in brush silver with mother of pearl buttons. The ... moreserial number is 103077 making this horn new in 1929! It has recently had a repad including new corks. The body on the horn has no dents. Is clean, and is beautiful condition. It comes with a hard rubber Buescher mouthpiece and ligature. What is so nice about these C melodies is they are completely compatible with pianos, flute, guitars and other instruments in the key of C so you don't have to transpose like you would with the other saxes being the other saxes are not in the key of C. It still has the metal protective cap as you can see in the accessory box in photo 11 and it comes with the original case, it's not new looking but is still in very useable condition. Please ask questions if you have any. I accept Paypal for payment. Shipping is $40.00(insurance and signature confirmation has been added in)

I have noticed alot of sellers on ebay are not offering a trial period. THAT IS BS. You have my word I will stand behind my items. If there is any problem ... moreI will be there for the buyer! If there is any reason you would NOT give me positive feedback or all 5 stars contact me first. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS WELCOME ON CASE BY CASE SITUATION EMAIL ME FIRST I will charge an extra 10 dollars on top of the actual shipping charge for the extra running around and paper work etc. I was doing some research on Conn Silver Nice condition C melody's. I saw that one went for a grand and one for 1500.00 This two tone gold plated one I am selling is much rarer and will appreciate in value over time more in m y opinion! Easier to polish than silver also! OK what I have here is an almost MINT Gold Plated Gorgeous 1924 Conn C melody tenor sax with the highly sought after straight tunable neck. Rolled tone Holes. HAS FRONT F( see pic 2 and 10) I have come across a lot of C Melody's.this is the perty'est ONE EVER. For the pics I polished her up for maybe 5 minutes with a polish rag. That is it. if I was to guess I would say this was a one time owner but I can't verify that. I played it with my C melody Conn MPC and it plays on these pads not great. The low end is hard to get sound on. So I would say get it a new set of pads! Mechanically it checks out. My tech looked it over and I had him do 3 things. 1 new neck cork 2 Take out a dent in the bottom bow. With his 46 years of experience he did a fantastic job. I think he went in from the tone hole and down the body/bell etc to make it almost look perfect. see pics 8 10 11 12) 3 The neck screw needed to be a bit tighter. My tech commented that the rods on the pants side of sax don't even show any wear. see pic 11) this is real nit picky but I noticed in my pic 7 one of the rods is bent ever so slightly. It does not affect the action at all. I suppose when repadding it a tech could tweek it a tiny bit. Most people would not even point this out but I believe in pointin

You are bidding on a Frank Holton C Melody Low Pitch saxophone made in Elkhorn. Wisconsin in 1925. It's serial number is 20436. I got the date info from the website"Sax on the Web" I found the sax while cleaning out my grandfather's garage. The cork shows some wear/age. But a local music shop said it is in great shape overall. They said it has the original Holton bakelite mouthpiece and a tenor neckpiece. There are some small dings but no large dents. They were interested in buying it but not motivated enough to move on it, so here it is on EBay! I have taken a few closeup pictures along with pictures of the case. Let me know if you need more. Item sold as is. No warranty. Winning bidder will add shipping and handling costs. Please use the shipping calculator if you are interested. Good luck and happy bidding!
1922 Buescher Tru-Tone Low Pitch C Melody SILVER PLATED Saxophone with Original Carrying Case& Extras The saxophone has its original body. The body is clean and doesn't have any dents. Dings, or resolders. The pictures shown are of the exact saxophone being sold. All the saxophone parts shown in the pictures also comes with it as well. Please feel free to ask questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability. On Feb-05-13 at 19:51:33 PST. Seller added the following information:
NO RESERVE! BUY IT NOW! You are bidding on a Conn sax. Let me preface this listing by stating that I am no expert on saxophones. And don’t even play one, but after researching online, I do believe this is a C-melody instrument. This is based on the shape of the neck and size of the instrument, as well as the markings. The length from the bottom of the bend to the top of the tube is approximately 24 ¼” In addition, there is a C marked on the back below the thumb rest. In fact. The instrument is marked with all of the following: Pat.D. DEC. 8. 1914 1119954(assumed to be the patent number) C(above the serial number and assumed to indicate a C-melody instrument) P9296(assumed to be the serial number) L The bell of the instrument is marked with C.G. Conn Ltd Elkhart Ind. This instrument belonged to an older gentleman who has since been placed ... morein a nursing home. I am not sure if he was the original owner or not and unfortunately. I am not able to get any history from him. The sax does have white pads. They don’t look old enough to be the original ones, but they should be replaced. Some look OK, but others show wear around the edges, and I did notice that the small pad is gone off the neck. The cork on the neck is worn as well, but still present. I did notice I am missing the screw that tightens to hold the neck on the body. A mouthpiece and cover are included. The finish on the instrument does show some wear and discoloration(oxidation) I have not attempted to clean or polish this at all, so that might help some, and it looks decent overall considering the age. The nicest and strangest thing is that I really don’t see ANY dents or dings. I would have expected some, but unless they are extremely tiny, I don’t see any, so would imagine this instrument sat in the case more than being played. The case does look original and it definitely shows age and wear. My intention is not to mislead anyone so if you feel I have made a mistake in this listing. Please feel free to email me. I am selling this instrument as is beca

91 year old saxophone primarily used in a jazz band. Then stored for a few years before given to me. Unfortunately, I need an alto sax for school, so I am selling this to raise money for one. The B key has a slight leak but is still playable. The low notes waver a tad. The register key tends to bend from time to time but is easily fixable. Other than that and minor cosmetic blemishes it is a great sax. With a little extra investment to fix these minor issues it will be an AWESOME sax! The case is original and has a velvet lining. There are, of course, minor blemishes on the case as well. Please bid and help me get what I need for college band! Thanks! No International bids. Please!
This is a pristine c melody saxophone likely from the 20's. The horn is 100% playable it come with no mouthpiece it is great condition for its age would be great for a collection or a everyday player Posted with

You are looking at a vintage Conn Saxophone with a model number of 1119954. I got into the Conn serial number website and discovered it is from 1923. It has a patten date of Dec. 8. 1914. It is silver plated. I have been informed that this is a C Melody. I am not an expert on this item and I do not believe it has been relaquered. Be sure to check out the photos. With that said. It is in used condition with some small dings. Pitting, and surface wear. The serial number is 103558 and I have included a photo of the serial number for prospective buyers. All the the little pearlized white buttons are intact. The indentation with the Conn name is clear and I have included photos of it. Be sure to click on the zoom button and the item will magnify. Like I stated before.I'm not an expert on this item. I am sure the pads need replaced and some ... moreof the keys are sticking so I know it needs to go to a Saxophone repairman. All in all. It is in good condition considering the age of this item. This item was purchased used and the(black) mouthpiece is with it as is the metal hole insert piece. The case does show some wear including dirty and worn places on the outside and the inside. It does shut and secure with no problems and the handle is strong but does show a lot of wear including the black leather coming off all over it. It is lined with purple and the inside of the case stinks of mold. I am sure it needs to be cleaned but know nothing about cleaning it so I will leave it to prospective bidders to decide what they want to do about it. Be sure to check out the pictures I have included with this auction. This auction is for the CONN Saxophone and the case that is pictured. It will be carefully packaged with bubble wrap for shipping. Don't forget to check out the other items I have listed this week.

Pres ented for auction is a vintage C Melody Saxophone. This instrument was made by the American Standard Music Company which was acquired by the Cleveland Musical Instrument Company in 1925. Apparently the American Stand Music Company had acquired the Dixie Music House prior to Cleveland buying American Standard as the Dixie House name appears in smaller print above American Standard on the bell( photograph 8) Also note the inside of the bell which appears to have a more shiny s urface than the rest of the instrument. In the late 1920's Cleveland. Which also owned King I nstruments. Began using sterling silver on various of its instruments which it claimed gave them better tone which carried further with less vibrations. Several musici ans who have inspected this saxophone have opined that the interior of the bell may well be sterling ... moresilver although I have not included that feature in my pricing of this saxophone. This instrument is in remarkable shape. I could fi n d no scratches w hich would show up in any photographs. Also it is dent free with the possible of some slight flattening at the base of the bell( see photograph 7) If you look at photograph 9 you will note that the serial number is P 13651. According to research available Cleveland/American Standard serial numbers between 10.000 and 30,000 were made between 1930 and 1935. Given how close this instrument's number is to 10,000, one would have to conclude it was made in 1930 or 1931. Note the"C" above the serial number- that identifies this saxophone as a C Melody. The"L" below the serial number identifies this as a"Low Pitch" C Melody saxophone which means it can be played in tune with instruments pitched to the modern standard of A=440. High Pitched C Melody saxophones identified by an"H" or"HP" cannot be played with modern instruments and for that reason have earned the dubious distinction of being called"lamps" This instrument was fully refurbished by the House of Music in Des Moin

This auction is for what I think is a C Melody Saxophone by'Lewin Bros' London. This is a pre war item and plays pretty well, mid range sounds quite amazing and overall range pretty nice sound. I've looked and looked through the internet and from what I can see this was made by'CONN' but I cant guarantee it is a CONN, the company'Lewin Bros' of London were a instrument importers hence their name on the bell and from all the information I have found online says that the Lewin Company mainly imported CONNS and MARTINS. The name and serial number says:NEW PERFECTION' A50231'model' SD. The Saxophone is in good condition for its age but has the obvious wear marks which must be expected with an instrument of this age. It plays OK but could do with setting up as its been sitting around for years. It comes ... morewith a mouth piece/ neck strap and a SELMER carry case which is a bit dog eared and showing its age but does its job, the catches are all good. Anyone with info on this Saxophone your more than welcome to let me know. Happy Bidding. I've set the worldwide shipping cost at £50.00 I don’t mind shipping worldwide but I'm not sure of the shipping cost but I will only charge what it cost me. 7.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2Bkw5%7Fos1%3E%3E7-13d03b40751-0xfd-

This is a nice playing vintage saxophone in very good condition. Pads are about a year old and there are no dents or scratches worth talking about. Only a few small dings typical for a saxophone of this age. Serial number is 13639(made in 1924) Lacquer is maybe 80% with a nice dark patina. It's a well made saxophone with nice tone. I'm selling this horn and a few other instruments that have been in my collection for years to make room for new arrivals. With"Mercedes" C guard like a Conn and beveled tone holes like a Martin. These saxes are often wrongly identified. They are not Conn or Martin stencils. But were originally made in LaPorte Indiana by E.A. Couturier. I've read that Lyon& Healy ... morebought the company and manufactured this model under there own name. If that's true, this technically isn't a stencil horn at all, Lyon& Healy actually made this one! Please email me if you have any questions or want to see additional pictures. Payment by PayPal is preferred. USA shipping is $30- If actual shipping cost is more than $5 less than that. I will reimburse the difference. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: The horn is not boxed up yet. So please don't ask for an exact shipping cost at this time. I would estimate the weight as being around 25lbs, and the size of the box approximately 12x12x36 inches. Use those numbers to approximate shipping charges.

Up for auction is a Melody Master/ Martin Stencil Alto Saxophone This is a great old alto sax with a superb tone. It has that"Martin" sound. The plating is worn as a horn of it's age should be but it still plays well. That said it. Like any other sax, could probably benefit from a trip to the tech for some regulation but all horns usually do anyway. Even most new horns would too! This horn was actually kept at our recording studio and used by a few local horn players on quite a few tracks. It was funny the night a horn player drove 4 hours to record and his precious MK IV alto leaked like a pasta strainer. He cut 16 tracks with this old war horse and the producer loved them all! This would make someone a good horn for club gigs or venues where one is hesitant to bring in their collector's pieces. The case is well worn with ... morerips in the vinyl but still plenty strong enough to make the trip. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs. Thanks For Looking!

Buescher Band Instrument Company- The company was founded by Ferdinand August"Gus" Buescher(born Elk Township. Noble County, Ohio 26 April 1861; died Elkhart, Indiana 29 November 1937) He accompanied his family to Goshen, Indiana and then to Elkhart in 1875. In 1876 he found employment with C.G. Conn's fledgling band instrument factory, and in 1888 he was promoted to foreman. In 1890 while still employed with Conn, he began producing band emblems at home and was setting up his own shop. In the fall of 1894 he opened the Buescher Manufacturing Company at 1119 N. Main Street which made band instruments and other metal products, in partnership with John L. Collins, a clothing merchant, and Harry L. Young, a salesman. In March 1901 he patented a cornet unusual in that the valves were of unequal lengths. In 1903 there was a disastrous bank crash which affected Buescher's factory and a number of other local businesses. In 1904 the business was reorganized and renamed the Buescher Band Instrument Company. After the reorganization. The company limited itself to producing band instruments. In 1916 Buescher sold a major share o
Up for auction is a beautiful vintage Buescher True-Tone Silver plated C-Melody Saxophone. This sax is in exceptionally good condition considering that it is over 90 years old. The serial number places it's manufacture date in the 1921-1922 time frame. It is the"Low-Pitch" model(which means it's tuned to A-440) The silver plating on this sax is extremely clean(no wear on the body or keys) including the gold wash inside the bell. The only blemish is a light circular wear pattern around the neck strap loop(see last picture) There is no evidence of any repairs. If you look very closely at the 11th picture. You'll notice one very tiny nick on the bow. This sax comes complete with everything. Except the neck strap. The auction includes the sax. The original case, the music lyre, the original end plug, and the mouthpiece/ligature/cap ... morethat came with the horn. The mouthpiece is marked" Henton" and has a" 3" stamped next to the table. The table and rails are made of steel- it's a very unusual and rare mouthpiece) Tenor reeds seem to fit the rails and tip. So it might have been a tenor piece that the original owner purchased for this horn. The ligature is marked" C" The pads look to be very old(perhaps original) and are NOT the Buescher"Snap-On" type. Buescher patented the"Snap-On" pad system around the time that this horn was manufactured. So this could have been one of the last horns to be built before the introduction of"Snap-On" pads. There are no center rivets or resonators on the pads. Since the pads are not the"Snap-On" type. The new owner could choose to have the horn repadded with their personal favorite pad/resonator combination. This is a well-preserved instrument(it looks like it came out of a time capsule) and should probably be in a collection or museum somewhere. But if you plan on playing it, I would recommend having the horn overhauled with new pads. Paypal only. Ships to US only.

No more transpositions with this saxophone! When you finger C. It will play C. When you finger E, it will play E. This gently used saxophone was comes with two neck- curved neck(tenor) and an alto neck. The neck does not make any difference in sound. The mouthpiece is what makes is sound like an alto or a tenor. This sax comes with its own mouthpiece. An alto mouthpiece will fit it perfectly. You may have to recork the neck to fit in a tenor mouthpiece. The sound of this saxophone is truly amazing. If you want to hear how it sounds, simply go to youtube. Type in Aquilasax C Melody saxophone, and there is a gentleman there who plays pop songs with it. He uses a tenor mouthpiece with the alto neck. The size of a C Melody Tenor sax is between a tenor and an alto. This sax is in satin silver finish with an engraving of a dove in the front. Comes ... morewith a case, mouthpiece and ligature, box of reeds(you can use your own reed and your own mouthpiece for this saxophone) Also comes with a case and neck strap. I bought this brand new in 2012, and I had it tuned up. However, I had to go back to school. I have no more time to play saxophone, and I need money for school. There are very minor scratches on the saxophone. The alto neck looks more worn out than the tenor neck. I tried to show every inch of this sax with the pictures. Starting bid for this $499.00. Shipping is by PayPal only. Will ship within 3 business days after payment is received. All sale is final. No return, no exchange. Shippping is within 48 continental US states only. Happy bidding.

You are bidding on a vintage C.G. Conn Limited Elkhart Ind. Alto Saxophone. This item appears to be in original condition. I believe this to be a C melody? have seen many of these. And they are usually stamped low pitch, this just has a'C' then a serial number of 5622* and then an'L' below it. This has a silver finish. Which has some discoloration and light pitting from age and use. Body only has a few very light surface dings. It looks like it's been taken care of in it's early life. This is being sold in as-is condition. I'm certain it needs to be serviced and adjusted. Most of the white pads are in decent shape. Horn body measures approx. 24 1/4" without gooseneck. Bell is in fantastic shape, no dents or dings. Comes with original gooseneck. Gooseneck has plating wear and needs cork to be replaced. Comes ... morewith what appears to be original mouthpiece, which has an eagle and name stamp trademark. Also included are accessories seen in picture of mouthpiece cover. Reed holders, and strap. Comes in original case. Case is in decent shape, all latches, hinges and handles are working. Just some normal wear and tear from age. PLEASE NOTE: Shipping quotes from eBay may not be accurate. Please email me with your zip code and I will get you a very close shipping cost. UPS and USPS are getting very expensive to the east coast. Up for auction is a Vintage Buescher True Tone C Melody Saxophone. Serial number is 86851. It is used and is in need of work to bring it upto optimal playability. Everything appears to be original. There is some grime on parts of the sax that will need to be cleaned. There is one keyguard that is wrapped, see pic 5. I did not unwrap it, because it appears to be acting as a bumper. There is no case or mouthpiece. Please read the entire item description and examine all of the pictures carefully before bidding. If you have any questions. Please feel free to ask. Just acquired out of a private. Midwest estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice ~ BUESCHER TRUE TONE C MELODY LOW PITCH SILVER SAXOPHONE ~. This saxophone was discovered tucked away in the estate in very nice, all original condition. I do not see any dents or dings" which is quite amazing" for a Vintage saxophone. The finish looks pretty decent although it sure could use a good cleaning and polishing, and I believe it will polish up quite nicely. It did not come with a mouthpiece. The quality storage case is original to the saxophone, and is signed Buescher on the top. The case does show some expected wear" primarily on the outside" from age and use. The pads look to be in pretty nice condition, although they are old, and since we do not play we could not test the saxophone. I must say this old saxophone was ... moreobviously very well cared for over all these years though. The bell measures 4 3/4 inches across and the entire saxophone measures just a little under 27 inches long" with the neck in" I can't imagine that you could easily find a much nicer example than this one here. Being sold as found so PLEASE FEEL FREE to email me for more pictures you may need or for questions you may have and I will be happy to help! The new owner is to pay 23.00 for secured Federal Express insured shipping with SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION tracking in the lower 48 United States. I have noticed alot of sellers on ebay are not offering a trial period. THAT IS BS. You have my word I will stand behind my items. If there is any problem I will be there for the buyer! OK what I have here is an almost MINT Gold Plated Gorgeous 1924 Conn C melody tenor sax with the highly ... moresought after straight tunable neck.
A CONN C MELODY NEW WONDER SERIES 1 SAXOPHONE S.N. 116939 BUILT IN 1923. THIS SAX HAS NO DENTS NO DINGS AND NO REPAIRS. I TOOK PICTURE OF PADS I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE ORIGINAL OR NOT BUT THEY LOOK PRETTY GOOD TO ME, ALL THE KEYS WORK. HAS ALL PEARLS, ROLLED TONE HOLES, MICROTUNER NECK, ORIGINAL SILVER END PLUG AND ORIGINAL CASE. THERE ARE DARK SPOTS ON THE SAX AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS, I KNOW THE SAX NEEDS CLEANED SO HOPEFULLY THAT WOULD BE REMOVED, IF NOT FOR THAT THIS SAX WOULD BE ABOUT PERFECT. IF YOU NEED MORE PICTURES LET ME KNOW.I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE.
Here's an old Buscher True Tone C melody saxophone. Low pitch, serial number 95058 which puts this horn from 1922. This one is a prime candidate for full overhaul. In fact. Alot of work has been done for you as far as removing pads etc. The horn came to me like this, every pad is removed and pretty much every cork, felt, and spring as well. I see a spring or two left here and there but they're pretty much all gone. Good news is everything is there. It should be a player with an overhaul. The neck has a ding as you can see in the pic but not too bad. I didn't see any major dings or dents on the body of the horn. It is dirty. Certainly needs a good polishing. Its bare brass. The original case is in fair condition. I can ship this packed in a box for $35 w/ USPS Parcel or for the cheaper route we can just ship in the case. I've ... moredone this before with instruments in this condition, just bubble wrap in the case to keep the instrument from moving, tape the latches shut and let the Post Office deliver. Would be a bit cheaper this way but its up to you.
Upon this auction is used vintage NO NAME C me l ody saxophone mouthpiece. It has a"C" imprinted on right side of its table. The mouthpiece has tooth marks. Couple of tiny chips at the tip area, but those do not affect its playability or performance. It has a true large chamber. I used to play it with my Conn C melody, Buescher melody, and alto saxophones. It works fine and has a real dark tone on my alto. I am selling it AS IS without return. Any question is welcome. Happy bidding!

SELMER NEW YO RK C- MELODY SAXOPHONE FOR P ARTS OR RESTORE Hello. Up for your consid eration is an old Selmer New Yo rk C- Melody Saxophone to sca venge for parts or restoration if you are really motivated. This was a wall hanger in my sh op for years. Now its time to go. I do not know the e xa ct year of manufacture. But I would guess from the 1920's to 1930's. As the pictures show. This horn is in rough shape. Pads are long gone. Most pearls missing. Fin ish is tarnished. And part of the horn looks like it was somehow burn ed in a fire. Or at least e xposed to a n open flame. How that would have happened is anyone's guess. On the plus side. T he body is surprising ly straight and dent free. Most of the keys seem to be present. So from a parts standpoi nt. There ma y be some use for this horn. Or just use it a s wall decoration. ... moreIt is a New Yo rk Selmer. So it may have been actually manu factured by conn or buescher or whoever. I don't know so I will let you determine who the maker was. It is mark ed with an L. So I believe this is a l ow pitch m odel. What you see is what you get. There is not a case. Or neck, or mou thpi ece. Wish I had'em but they a re long gone. Obviously, this is a non playab le ins trument and it is being sold as-is. If you bid and win. It is yours to enjoy. Any ways. Take a look and if it is something you can use feel free to bid! Thanks and good luck. Shipping: I will only ship to paypal verified addresses in the contin ental U.S. Shippin g will be $25.00. I will only ship to end users. Not third party purchasers like flight2am s who buy and then ship overseas. Paym ent: Paypal is the accepted method of payment. Payment must be made within 3 days of auction end.

The mouth piece says Buffet ciamnon 8 on it. Made by H N White. Saxophone is silver plated on brass with mouth piece. From what we can discern, saxophone was made between 1919-1930. UP FOR SELL IS A VINTAGE ELKHART. MARTIN STENCIL, C-MELODY SAXOPHONE. SERIAL NUMBER IS 52640. PADS ARE IN PLAYABLE CONDITION, THE CORK IS IN GOOD CONDITION. NO DENTS. COMES WITH A CASE. IF YOU NEED A C-MELODY SAXOPHONE THIS MIGHT BE FOR YOU.
You are bidding on a CONN CHU BERRY C Melody Silver Plated Saxophone made in 1926 with a straight neck and original Hard Case. This saxophone is in very nice playing shape. I would rate the overall condition of this instrument at a 7 or 8 out of 10. The case is in very poor condition and is probably a 2 out of 10. This instrument really is beautiful. There are VERY FEW scratches on this item and only a couple of dings and nothing I would classify as a dent. The silver plated finish is gorgeous for its age. The main thing that needs pointed out is that there are two places on the instrument that have had solder work done. One is under the serial number and the other is next to one of the keys. Both of these spots are easily viewable in the pictures and they do not affect the playing condition of this horn. Whatsoever. The cork is perfect and ... moreall of the keys and pads appear to me to be in very good condition as do all of the resonators. The case will honestly need replaced soon. It is the original wood case and, although it closes and protects the instrument, the handle is broken and the wood is very loose. Please note that this instrument does not come with a mouthpiece. As you can see in one of the pictures. There are many numbers stamped on this horn. The back of this sax says this has a patent date of December 8, 1914 with a number of 1119954 under that. Then, there is a"C" under that showing it is a C Melody. Then, the serial number is M179615 and then an"L" under that for the Low Pitch. This instrument has been priced to SELL QUICKLY! As with all of my items. This item is GUARANTEED to arrive EXACTLY as I have described it here. If you are not satisfied with it. You have a14-day money back guarantee! Please check my FEEDBACK and see what other buyers have thought about purchasing items from me. I am still a fairly new seller on eBay and am trying to build my feedback rating. Please allow me to exceed your expectations. Thank you for bidding!

There is plating ... moredamage on the G pad cup. You can see the spot in the pictures. Other than the G key the plating is in excellent condition. Even the finger touches on the stack keys look beautiful with slight wear. There are several scratches on the instrument. The gold wash bell is very nice but also carries some notable scratches. I will start by saying I am not a musician and I know absolutely nothing about instruments. But I will describe this to the best of my ability. This is a C.G. Conn silver plated C-melody saxophone with a patent date of 1914 and numbers just below it.1119954 C 138039 with an L below this last number. The only physical flaw I know of is that the opening in the neck is"pinched" somehow which will not allow the neck piece to go all the way into that opening. The finish is dirty but I think all it needs is a good cleaning and polishing. It does not come with a mouthpiece. The instrument is straight with no dents anywhere. All the pads are in place but I don't know how to judge their condition. All the keys return to position when depressed but two of them are not as snappy quick as the rest of them are. I think this might have been ... moreused by a pro because there is some kind of cleaning tool for the inside and a sponge like round piece tool which I found inside the bell. The case is original and in wonderful. Almost new like condition. All latches and locks work as they should with no hangups or problems. There are no tears or loose pieces of the covering of the case. The case is really in amazingly good condition.much better than I would expect for a case this age. Check out my! This is one of the most beautiful examples of an Early Buescher True Tone C-Melody saxophone that I have ever seen. Complete with Custom Neck. Serial# 120445 This horn received a complete overhaul sometime in the past and whoever did it. Did a top-notch job! It wears a set of Selmer style pads with flat metal resonators. A nice lacquer job with nicely nickel-plated keywork. Take a look at this thing! This is probably the first lacquering for this horn. As these were not lacquered at the factory and very few people go to the expense that this horn received. The engraving shows but has obviously been buffed(pics) And for the Neck! Look at that beauty! It plays very nicely on this horn. Whoever built this horn did a heck of a job! Included with the sax is a pad saver swab. A neck strap, and a case. The case was probably custom made because it ... morefits this horn perfectly. There are some light scratches in the lacquer and on some of the keys. A little crud here and there, the bell lip is a little flattened on the body side, and two dents on the bottom– one the size of a dime and one the size of a small fingertip. I have for sale a C MELODY SAXOPHONE by Harwood called"Professional" USA this is a C G CONN stencil(serial number P29045(made in the 1920's? Does have the C letter for key of C, and L for low pitch which is a modern playable sax) I think it has a gold washed bell but it is hard to tell; it is very very light. I will need to be serviced to be playable. Does have some small dents with a bigger one on the bottom. It does have some missing silver plating and some bracket will need some soldering back(the one on the neck) The case is in bad bad shape. BUT IT DOES COME WITH TWO C-MELODY MOUTHPIECES. Take a good look at the pictures below to see what you are buying. What are they good for? It's not surprising that C Melody saxes were good for their intended use. If mom plays the piano. And dad wants to play along on the sax, here's ... morethe ticket. But there are some other uses for a C Melody that are very twenty-first century. More and more churches have bands or orchestras, and they often have odd instrumentation- particularly with gaps in low and middle voices. A C Melody sax can play parts that are written for any C instrument(flute or oboe. For example) or any treble clef part from a piano sheet. If a part has to be copied from a score or piano part, it doesn't have to be transposed. A second place where C Melodies fit well is in guitar bands. Many amateur bands would love to have a sax on some numbers. But amateur bands often play in sharp keys, like A(three sharps) and E(four sharps) A good professional sax player can play in any key, but for lesser mortals these are tough keys on soprano, alto and tenor saxes. Soprano and tenor saxes are pitched in Bb. To play along with other instruments, their music is written one step higher and two sharps are added(the tenor really sounds an octave lower than that) An Eb Alto sax is written 1 1/2 steps lower and three sharps are added. So, if a band is playing in the key of A(three sharps) an alto player is struggling along in his key of F# six sharps) a
This is a used Conn C Melody Sax. From basic research on the internet. Based on the serial number, it was made in 1927/28. The writing on the bottom reads: PATD DEC 8 1914 1119954 C M202602 L" THIS SAX IS USED"AS FOUND" CONDITION WITH CASE AND ACCESSORIES. ORIGIN UNKNOWN. SELLING FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION. NO RESERVE.
I have noticed a lot of sellers on ebay are not offering a trial period. THAT IS BS. You have my word I will stand behind my items. If there is any problem I will be there for the buyer! This is a Holton C melody 1925 teno r Sax! My tech said to say it was stripped for padding/overhaul! All PADS ARE OUT etc( see his slip pic 10) THIS IS 24K gold plate. These saxes are highly under rated! F rom the holton guide thru the factory manual this is what they said: In our gold plating. We differ from most manufacturers in plating only with pure 24-karat gold. It is ... morecustomary with most manufacturers. To use copper anodes with the gold anodes. Which gives the plate a darker color and of course is cheaper as a much lower percentage of gold is deposited upon the article being plated. Other makers will use a gold plate with a copper alloy and at the finish put on a flash of 24-karat gold or a very light covering which very soon wears down to the gold and copper basis used. All our gold plate is pure 24-karat gold. Put on over silver. So an instrument is silver plated before being gold plated. Notice that when an instrument first comes out of the silver plate it is covered with a white celluloid-like film while an instrument just coming out of the gold plate is covered with a sand colored film. This film is removed by the use of Babbitt Soap and water and a scratch brush which is a brush with very fine brass bristles. The film is taken off by this process and it leaves the surface of the plate with a satin-like finish. Except where the instrument has been sand blasted previous to plating when the finish is frosted. After leaving the plating room the instrument goes to the burnishing department where on the instruments that have been sa
Here is a rare Home Model C melody sax made by Martin. The serial number 102854 dates this one to about 1931. The bell engraving reads: Martin. Home Model, Elkhart, Ind. These were intended as a simplified model with limited keywork and range. It only goes from C to C and there are no side keys or bell keys. The bell is shorter than normal and does not have a brace to the body. No pearls, no rollers. This one came from a very old repair shop and it is missing some keys and screws. I'm not a sax expert so be sure to study the photos to see what is or isn't intact. It has some old and very worn lacquer and some ancient looking pads. The neck is in very good condition. It is stamped with the number 17892. I think the case is probably original and is also simplified. It's old and worn but solid. A cool and interesting sax for parts ... moreor restoration!
MARTIN C MELODY SAXOPHONE PLAYS& WITH GOOD PADS. On the bell it reads MARTIN SAXOPHONE REG.U. S. PATENT OFFICE ELKHART IND. set of pads. However most look new. I discovered two tiny. Difficult to see dents, but no missing silver. What a beautiful engraving& what a beautiful saxophone. Included is a new Babbitt Mouthpiece. Ligature and cap. I have hand polished some of the tarnished areas under keys etc. It plays very well from low Bb to high F. It has a forked Eb which has been disabled by reversing the spring. The case is in good condition. Useable and quite unique. The case is a little wider than a normal C Melody case with an area for carrying a flute or a fold up music stand. The silver is 100% intact. To have a saxophone silver plated today would cost over $250.00. The former owner obviously played the instrument some. I acquired this horn(serial#45851) a few years back and. Though I'd love to keep it around, unfortunately don't have the time or cash to fix it up. I'm not sure it's ever been serviced or run past a tech, but it does produce a sound(the E is kind of wonky, though) As you can see from the photo s. It's g oing to need some TLC to get it tip-top( new cork. Pads, leak fixes. And a good polish) Could be a fun personal project or something worth sending out to have a peculiar sound for the right gig. Comes with the original case. Lyre, neck, and mouthpiece. Will do local pickup in NYC.
