Here I have a really nice. Vintage 1980, Yanagisawa 880 Alto Saxophone with the Martin import stencil. This sax is in really nice overall condition for ... moreit's age with almost all of it's original lacquer intact and shiny. As you probably know, Yanagisawa made these saxophones, but then put a Martin stencil on them for import to the US in the 1970's and 1980's. The serial number is 104230 which dates this sax to 1980. The Yanagisawa logo is stamped next to the serial number as well as the model number 880(pictured) As you can see in the picture, there is a few dents in the bass of the body, but not a big deal. The main problem is that the left hand pinky cluster of keys needs to be adjusted by someone that knows what they are doing. All of the keys move well, but I think this cluster must have gotten bent at some point because one of the low keys does not close all the way when depressing this cluster. For a saxophone tech that knows what they are doing, this would probably be a very simple fix. The pads appear to be in good condition, but as you can see in the picture, they need cleaning. Once that is done, you may find that a few need to be replaced, but I am not sure. The original carrying case is pretty solid, but the back top two corners are coming apart from the lid being opened too far. Putting a stop strap on each side of the lid would help this greatly. Except for the small issues that I have listed or this sax, the rest of it is in great condition with only minor scratched and some pitting. This would make a beautiful piece with very little effort into the repairs. Because of the repairs needed, I have listed this saxophone at a low buy it now price so someone else can fix it and enjoy it, but not have a lot of money into it. I have done my best to describe this item fairly and to show pictures that describe the condition. Feel free to ask any questions before bidding. Pay Pal is the preferred and secure method of payment. Pay Pal for all purchases must be completed within 48 hours after th

The"Indiana" serial number is 78602. Purchased from Sax Alley in Colorado in July 31, 2004. It is considered Martin's student/intermediate model because of features not usually found on a student model. The lacquer is original. This model features engraving of a Native American Chief. The entire saxophone is in very good condition. It comes with its original Martin case which is also in very good condition, rare for the age of this horn. It has been serviced at Seacat Music in Manheim, PA. The instrument comes with two neck straps, stand, box of reeds, manufacturer's notes, and service records. The saxophone is being played regularly and everything functions well. It has a beautiful, full sound, especially in the lower register.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for bid is a Martin Committee III tenor saxophone. These are vintage American professional saxophones. Martins are known for their mellow character. Combined with the flexibility to be a show stopper when pushed. This horn has the original lacquer at 90% There are some minor dings, and one of the bell keyguard feet was tastefully resoldered. Also the edge of the bell took a hit at some point but I have straightened it. The pads are in superb shape, but the setup is a little soft for my liking(the previous tech used a lot felt. Personally I would prefer the feel of tech cork all around. If you want to get an offer in, make it early! Comes in a case but not sure if its original. Here at Professional_Woodwinds. Up for bids is a wonderful old saxophone from a moving sale. The gentleman I purchased this from was in his sixties and played it in High school. It has not been played in many years. It has been in dry storage in a second floor closet of a climate controlled house. The serial numbers match on the body and neck. 171766. The instrument retains most of its original finish. There are a handful of small scattered dings. The bell measures about 6 3/16" All the keys and such move freely. No evidence of patches. Re-soldering or past repairs that I can see. I am sure this will require some sort of tune-up top get it back to top playing form, but it looks very nice. I do not play the saxophone, or any other instrument for that matter, so please email your questions and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks for looking.

1925 MARTIN HANDCRAFT TENOR SAXOPHONE SAX EX ready to play CONDITION History I play sax. But I'm not a tech. Martin Handcraft serial number 60751. NUMBER ON NECK, MATCHES ONE ON BODY. Made in 1925 I believe. This horn plays superb. What a fine well made instrument. no dents, scratches, scuffs etc.Just a few very minor dings. It has been re-laquered& set up by a pro. Pads in fine shape. READY TO PLAY CONDITION. I'm selling for a guy that played on Southside johnny& The Jukes records in the 70's. He also did some shows with Bruce& the E street band. He was playing this sax, when Clarence Clemons gave him some pointers. He has too many horns& needs cash, so I'm helping him out. I just got a good deal on a Selmer VI, other wise, I would consider buying this horn. A fabulous horn for a fair price. Bright powerful ... moretone out of this sax. Comes with case in good functional condition. No mouthpiece. I ship items once a week. This means after payment is received. It will take 1-6 days to ship your item. USA postage. Handling 45. Canada $100.00 Europe postage& handling $120.00
This tenor sax needed relaquering as the old Martin lacquer was very poor especially when this was built in the early. 40's. I removed all the dents. Used resonator pads, this complete overhaul is professionally refinished in every aspect. It has it's original case which is tattered. Some collectors want all things original. I did not picture this because if you. Put it next to a new tenor you could not see the difference in quality.
This tenor sax neck came from a'60s Martin Imperial. The lacquer is gone. But it has no ding, dents or bends- structurally perfect. I know for a fact that it fits the later Imperial model, all of the Indianas, the Medalist, and the Committee I(Searchlight/ Skyline) and II(Crown and Lion) This is not necessarily an exclusive list for Martins and even other brands. I just know because I have personally fitted it in all those Martin tenors. It won't fit the Committee III(The Martin Tenor" or the Magna. I'm pretty sure it's also not compatible with the first Handcraft model. This is a NR auction. Good luck bidders!

Up for auction is a VINTAGE THE MARTIN IMPERIAL SAXOPHONE w/ ORIGINAL CASE. This saxophone is in very good condition for it's age. I do not see any dings and only some minor scratches just below where it reads"The Martin Imperial" As you can see the finish is still in great condition. I am not sure if this would be called a tenor or baritone sax. I know it is to large to be an alto. Some of the pads look to be in better condition than others and may need to be replaced. Serial number 314658. I do not play the saxophone and really do not know too much about them. The mouthpiece is made by Penzel Mueller. The lady I acquired this from said the case had not been opened since 1978. The case has a small tear on the outside and has a strong musty smell to it. The latches have some rust but work fine. There were several reeds, a small ... morescrew driver set, and the neck strap for this sax in the box in the case. There is also an envelope with 2 keys in it that do fit the case. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

This is a very special horn for you Martin lovers out there(and I am one of them too. By the way. It is one of the rarest professional Martin saxophones- the Handcraft Imperial(you can google themartinstory to find out a bit more about Martin saxophone history) This horn appears to have been a sort of transitional model between the Handcraft and the Handcraft Committee(1) saxophones. It is very well made, with excellent build quality and very nice thick brass. This horn is all original. And that is what makes it such a remarkable example. You just NEVER see a Martin this old that looks ... moreanything like this horn does. It has literally spent its whole life in the case. The original sales receipt is still in there by the way, and the original case looks almost new inside and out as well. It's kind of unreal. So for some lucky Martin collector out there, this would almost have to be the world's nicest example of a Handcraft Imperial tenor(which is in itself already pretty rare) It also has all original pads intact, by the way, and it will still play a bit on them. For Your Consideration: 1 Martin Committee III"The Martin" Tenor Saxophone From 1947. As you can see from the pics. This horn has been played, but not ruined or abused. It has been sitting since 1981. When I found it, the neck tenon had come unsoldered and it didn't play at all. All but 5 or 6 pads are original. I resoldered the tenon and replaced 2 pads and gave it a regulation, but make no mistake, this horn needs an overhaul! That being said, it does play on 66 year old pads, but not how it can play once the real work is done. It looks like someone repaired a small dent in the body tube. The bow looks like maybe it has seen some very light dent work as well. There are a few pings here and there, but no abuse and the horn has not hit the ground and other than the neck tenon, I can't find any resolder repairs anywhere else ... moreon the horn. The serial number 163xxx indicated its was made in 1947 which is the golden age for saxophone making both here in the US and in France. The original lacquer is about 70-75 percent intact and has aged to that dark honey color we love so much. The case is original and the mouthpiece that was in the case will be included along with a Neotec strap which I am throwing in. The original neck plug is missing. The original case is beaten up and worn out, but will work for shipping, but expect to buy a new case if you want a gig or travel ready case. The pics tell the rest of the story. I will start this one off at a reasonable $599.99 and let you the bidders decide the final price. I accept paypal only. US bidders Only. Shipping will be done via Fedex Ground with full insurance for a flat $85.00. I am sorry that the shipping price is high. But the darned prices keep going up and ebay is charging final value fees on shipping now. so I must pass that charge onto you. Please complain to ebay about this policy, I sure have! Check the pics. The horn is a super nice core instrument. It needs a complete overhaul, but what you see is exactly what you will get. I will not accept r

The pads are in very good shape. It seals really well and plays like a monster top to bottom! This horn is currently well-regulated and it plays with the signature fat, warm, and bold tone which the Martin Committee IIIs are famous for. The case is the original Martin case in fair condition. The top latches have been replaced. They function properly and the repair job looks nice. The pictures tell the rest of the story. Item is being sold as-is with no returns. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a beautiful example of an early"The Martin" Martin Committee III) tenor sax. The 169xxx serial number puts the date of manufacture sometime around late 1948. About 90% of the original lacquer remains on the body. This tenor's sound is big and dark with plenty of punch. Very free-blowing and easy to play from top to bottom. Pretty good physical condition for its age. Unfortunately. The neck has suffered a slight pull-down and the lip of the bell shows signs of repair in two places. There are a couple of small dings remaining(one on the bottom bow) but nothing that will effect the playability. This tenor is currently in good playing condition with a very recent overhaul. The pads show minimal wear. Please have a ... moreclose look at the pictures below. Feel free to send us a message with any questions. We BUY and SELL vintage horns of all types. You are looking at a Vintage(approx 1959) Tenor Saxophone. With over 90% of the original laquer. Serial number 88xxx's. to say that this horn is in excellent condition is an understatement. The exterior is in remarkable shape for its age, but more importantly, all of the pads, springs, rods, and moving parts have been looked over by a top notch NYC mechanic. The horn has a deep, powerful vintage tone, that in my opinion is far better than any new horn on the market today. Do your homework guys. As an amateur mechanic I've measured the tone holes, horn diameters of many martin models, and the indiana is the exact same dimensions as the committee models Ive worked with of the same era. I'm going to post a vid playing this horn up against my Mark VI so you can hear for yourselves. I have 15 horns as it is, and moving into the city ... morenext month into a 500square foot place, I have to sell some of my stuff( this one very regrettably) Posted with jy.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2Bkw4sjm5%3Ejy-13e5f497bfc-0xf7-
For your consideration is sweet playing The Martin Tenor Saxophone Ser. Nr 208xxx. The body is nice and straight with no evidence of trauma. I replaced most of the pads with MusicMedic Precission pads with plastic domed resonators. Plays really nice. Can subtone to low Bflat. Has that dark color of the sound that makes them so famous and sought after. Is an old relaquer done very well. Hard to notice. US Shipping but if you press me hard I may ship internationally. Up for auction is a Martin 1953"The Martin" Committee tenor saxophone. The Committee is by far the most popular model of Martin saxophones. These were known as"The Martin" because of the bell engraving. And Committee III because Martin named all its pro level horn Committee. These horns are know for many features including the beautiful bell engraving, wire key guards, and a sturdy designed neck sock. This horn is a player in the truest sense, it has the smokey dark tone these horns are known for. The key action is crisp but smooth, and heavy body walls gives this horn a solid feel in your hands. These horns are known to have heavy key work so they hold up much better than many other horns. Being the players that it is, it does have the wear and tear that comes along with that. The lacquer is 50% having most wear in the ... morenormal contact spots, also the wire key guard has been re-worked(pictured) This horn has been setup and is ready to play out of the case. The pads have metal domed resonators and are in excellent shape. The serial# 134XXX dates this horn to 1953. This horn is among the giants of saxophones, made during some of the best years fro sax production, but once you play this horn you won't want to put it down.
Serial# 1553xx. The horn is all original. Just has a few tiny dings on the sax. Original lacquer finish with beautiful factory scrolling. There is one bottom pic that looks like there was a solder done years ago. Includes gooseneck. Mouthpiece, and new SKB hardshell case. This horn plays fantastically. As you sax players know, it plays as well or better than a Selmer. No disappointments on gorgeous tenor sax. Shipping will be $45.00 in the lower 48 states. PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING TO GET AN INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING QUOTE. Please post your feedback promptly after receiving your item in proper condition so I can reciprocate. If there are any issues, please contact me so I can make it right. I will stand behind what I sell, and I want to make sure you have a pleasant buying experience. Thanks for looking.
this martin is from an estate sale. Most of the parts seem to be there. some parts may be missing. being sold as parts only. all the parts are displayed in pictures. please see and count on zoom. i have no idea how this goes together. i believe it is mid century and it was tested for silver. some parts test as silver most do not. the pads feel soft. most parts seem to need cleaning. this is a private listing. thank you for looking. On May-09-13 at 20:37:49 PDT. Seller added the following information: a Martin sax owner emailed and told me this was not a tenor. But that it was an alto: Martin alto. Completely unique Martin Handcraft sax, this example dates to the very beginning of Martin Handcraft's manufacturing. They very much had this one right, the horn is astounding, both aesthetically, ergonomically, and sonically. I would argue that Al McLean is the best sax tech that there is. With all due respect to the other members of the creme-de-la-creme repair club. Al has carefully overhauled this instrument, giving it a thorough dynamic play test(or three) and making all of the fine adjustments it deserves. The horn now sports modern firm pads, traditional flat resonators, and other effective materials like wool felt, natural cork, and modern composite cork where needed. The end result is a horn that is so finely adjusted. That it rings like a bell when you snap the pads closed. Cosmetic condition is rated as Excellent+, with some minor nicks and signs of handling. Absolute satisfaction is guaranteed with this one, it's a great tenor. Please have a look and listen to Al playing on THIS horn in the film below. Questions about this horn. This lovely vintage horn came out of an estate here in Hollywood recently S/N is 119956 It's a gold finish with(I'm told) not too much wear for it;s age. I'm not an expert or a player so i won;t pretend to be-but i can say that i did hear someone play it and it sounded pretty sweet. i was told that the pads looked surprisingly good though i don;t know what that means exactly- I was also told that these old ones always need some reconditioning so hopefully if you are looking at this you know about all that stuff. The case is a bit rough but still solid and the latches and handle both are all great so i guess that's what counts. see the pics and ask if you want. I'm just happy to have saved it from the dumpster and to be sending it back to make more music! thanks

Up for sale is one of the rarest c-melody saxophone you will ever find: a Martin Handcraft Typewriter C-Melody Sax from 1931 in beautiful original lacquer Vintage Martin c-melody saxe s have by far the best tone o f all the brands available. Ergonomically. These horns are not as comfortab le as a mode rn horn. But the sound of a vintage Martin is simply out of this world. T he M artin c-melody has a unique sonic profile with tonal fundamentals most similar to thos e of a tenor sax. Which is to say: unlike most c-melody saxes. T he sound of a Martin c-melody has gravitas. While th e sax for sale is not playable as is( i t has not been played on or worked on in many decades) T he g reat news is that this ultra-rare sax is in very good physical condition and will make a tremendous player when given an overhaul. It is all original and even includes ... morethe original mouthpiece. T he tone holes look to be in very good condition. Besides a couple of very small s ur face dents in the b ell region. The horn is more or less dent-free and in great s hape. There is a little bi t of scratching and minor lacquer-wear in places. But overall the sax in really nice shape for its age. S ome of the keys are"spongy" feeling when pressed. Which will be cured completely when the sax is taken a part and lubed wh en you have it overhauled. Do not expect the sax to be playable as is. It needs a full overhaul. As it has not been worked on in many. Many decades. Indeed, t he pads may very well be original. After being taken apart. Lubed up and given new pads. This will be a killer sax. Ne ck is original and the serial number on it ma tches the sax: 103 xxx Case is original and well preserved for its age. Has auxiliary F ront-F mechanism for easy altis s imo and lacks the antiquated forked Eb and G# trill keys. This is a modern horn from 1931 and one of the last c-melody saxes ever made in America! The sax is beautiful! Its original lacquer and pearl buttons are stunning! A s easy as the pearls are on the eyes. They are jus

Up for auction is the vintage Martin Handcraft Committe II tenor saxophone. Also known as the"Martin Lion and Crown" model. The serial number 131545 puts its production around 1938. These are great jazz horns. The pads are older, but play very well. The horn has one ding in the bow area(see pic#05)The horn is probably an old relaquered one that has aged nicely. Engraving is sharp and crisp. This is a great vintage horn. Needs a good cleaning. Please see pictures and bid accordingly. Any questions please ask. Thank you for looking.
This vintage low pitch professional saxophone was owned and played by a professional musician in the Big Bands of the 1930s. It is in excellent original playing condition. In very close inspection of the instrument. It appears that the e flat tone hole may have been professionally re-soldered at some point. It comes with the original alligator case. You would have to play this instrument in order to understand it's value to any serious musician! That is why I am selling it with a 14 day money back guarantee(buyer pays return shipping) My personal tenor horns are a 1954 King Super 20 and an early 60s Selmer mark vi and I think this Martin Handcraft is smoother than both my horns. Of course I am referring to a jazz or classical sound and would not recommend this horn for other genres such as Rock. Please contact me for serial number and ... moreany questions. I should still have a copy of a picture with the original owner and the band! I also have a full comprehensive album illustrating every part of this horn and serious buyers may contact me and request it.
THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID. Check out my!Be sure to add me to your! This auction is for a vintage"The Martin" tenor saxophone. Also known as a Committee III model in excellent playing condition. It is a first generation Comm III. The serial number 169,xxx indicates a c1948 production date. This is a professional model horn through and through. It is in excellent playing condition. The pads are the older style ones with just center rivets(except for a couple that have been replaced with plastic reso pads) I am sure they aren't original, just of the older style. I put a leak light down it and all pads are sealing perfectly both individually and in combination as they should with a light touch. I would very conservatively estimate that they are ... moreat mid-life on average. The body looks nice and straight. The neck has not suffered from any pull down or other damage and it has the matching serial number to the body. There are no major dents, but there are some minor dings/pings here and there. Nothing larger than a dime in diameter and very shallow. There are a few key guard feet, one post, and the lyre holder that have been re-soldered. The lyre holder has a bit of excess solder, so that could have been done better, but it certainly doesn't affect playability. The key-work is all moving freely and fluidly. There is very little detectable wear to the key mechanism. It certainly doesn't have excessive"play" I am a little unsure of the lacquer on this horn. At first I thought it was original, but I'm not positive so I am going to err on the side of caution and say that this is probably a well done old re-lacquer job. There are no tell tale signs of re-lacquer such as uneven engraving(due to buffing) drips, or the like. The fine lines of the engraving are still visible. The lacquer is about 90% intact with typical scratching and wear. There is one spot on the bottom of the bow where it is quite worn which
Made from a vintage MARTIN TENOR SAXOPHONE BELL this one of a kind lamp has the hand engraved bell with the original lacquer. The bell key cups for low B/Bb are soldered to the tone holes and the original martin key guard has been used. On the bell is engraved THE MARTIN TENOR- ELKHART-IND-USA(I tried to show this in the pictures) This lamp was made from an instrument that was missing key work that is no longer available and missing the neck. Rebuilding this Sax was not an option unfortunately. Rest assured. Other parts from this horn have been used to give new life to other vintage Martins. This lamp measures 15 inches tall and sits on a 4 1/2 inch wide solid heavy vintage spelter lamp base. Everything about this lamp is vintage except the wiring is new and takes a small 25 wt night light bulb to give off a great glow. Own a piece of Saxophone ... morehistory! The Martin Tenor…serial# 218XXX early 60’s model. This is the rare limited edition tenor sax and is the top of the line Professional Model that Martin made to compete with the Mark VI. They named it the“Official Music Man Model” My research revealed that most sources state that the Music Man Model was the very best of all of The Martin Tenors with the best tone and intonation. This sax has the Original lacquer. Matching numbered neck(most lacquer worn off neck) and the beautiful Art Deco key guards. The pads are good and it had a recent overhaul with domed metal resonators. This is a beautiful sounding tenor with great intonation.Just had the sax inspected by my repair tech. He replaced some corks and Teflon to get rid of any key noise and adjusted the low B&Bb pads. He told me that at some point in time the Bell lip was very slightly ... morebent. But it’s so minor that I didn’t notice it. It’s unphotographable and doesn’t show up in the photo’s. But I wanted to be fair and accurate in my description. Check out the photo’s. It will ship in a newer hard case. Bubble wrapped and doubleboxed. This horn plays great. Very quick action, h as that thick Martin sound. US sales only. Shipping to the lower 48 will be $65 via USPS or Fed Ex or UPS insured. Payment by PayPal or bank Draft.

i don't know alot about horns.strings are my thing. at any rate. I bought this from the original owner's family and they said it is a tenor sax. i bought it in Elkhart, Indiana where it was obviously made. It has a really cool Indian head engraved on the bell. i polished part of the bell and the plating looks good yet.including the gold bell. the pads don't seem to be dried out and i don't notice anything obviously missing. i notice several very small dings but nothing else. it certainly needs some work however, so selling AS IS. Serial no. 17684 makes this a 1937. without the neck it measures about 30 inches long. it has the original case in good usable condition yet but does need a handle. look at the pics carefully before bidding. thanks
Up for auction is a vintage Martin Indiana Tenor Saxophone. The saxophone is aproximately 30 inches in length I apologize for the green reflection on the saxophone. We took the pictures near our studio green screen. The serial number on the saxophone is 54600. I tried doing a little research to find out what year it was made. According to this- http:www.saxpics.com/v=ser&manID=14- it's between 1942 and 1962. For a saxophone that's at least 50 years old. It is in remarkable shape. Other then a small dent near the base(see image) there is only minor wear. It pretty much sat in in the case for years! Look at other martin indiana saxophones on ebay and you will notice that the laquer isn't nearly this nice. The ones that still have nice laquer are listed at high prices. This saxophone comes with a hardcase with keys for the locks. ... moreWhat you see in the pictures is what you get. Low starting price of $99 Shipping will be a flat rate of $40 Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I will answer them ASAP. Thank you! On Jun-26-13 at 12:50:05 PDT. Seller added the following information: Special thanks to choltz for contacting me with the following information: Your sax is of 1955 vintage. Many of the serial number lists available on the web don't mention that the Indianamodels were not included on the Martin list. They were listed separately. Though always produced by the Martin craftsmen. From 1929 to 1942, they were labeled as The Indiana Band Instrument Co, a subsidiary created by Martin to increase their customer base(think Cadillac and Buick- both GM) During WWII with the plant ramping up for war production, Martin dropped the label and the horns said'INDIANAby Martin' though the serial numbers remained on a separate ledger. We’ve been in business since 1953 and have had the same owner since 1963. Originally we were a repair shop that specialized in woodwind ... moreand sax restoration. Today we have 18 employees including eight of the finest repair technicians in the country. Virtually ALL the items we sell have been fully reconditioned in our own shop. Although we do sell the occasional unrestored historical instruments each year. Due to the heavy demand for our services. We do almost no school repairs, and very few“walk-in” repairs. It’s sometimes possible to buy a good saxophone on Ebay for a lower price. But unless that instrument wears all new pads and corks from a reputable shop, you won’t know how it plays until you spend another five to seven hundred to have it mechanically overhauled. With a saxophone from OUR shop, you know it’s in the finest condition when it arrives at your home! Here’s what we do to all used saxes we sell: The instrument is taken apart and everything washed clean. We don’t use chemical dips. But do use plenty of soap and water! Dings are next burnished from body, bell, end-bow and neck. With a little effort, we can make things look“like new” again. After the body-shop work’s been completed, we swedge hinge-tubes tight again a

SCROLL DOWN FOR MANY MORE HD PICS! This saxophone is from an estate and looks to be in very good condition but please judge for yourself from the many pictures from all angles that I have provided above with many more below in the text of the description. I do not play the saxophone so it is being sold as untested so you may need to have it serviced by a professional. I have not cleaned the instrument in any way and it will require a detailed cleaning by the new owner. There are some scratches to the finish as seen in the picture. But overall very nice! There are a couple of very small dings at the base of the instrument which I tried to photograph. I do not know how to judge the pad condition so I included many pictures of them. All keys seem to operate freely. Please ask any questions. Serial number is 81418 which is marked on the body ... moreas well as on the neck- 81418 then looks like a backwards C. Case shows some wear. Latches all work fine, handle is fine. Please ask any questions and I will get back to you ASAP USA Shipping by FEDEX
Hello. Up for bids I have a vintage"The Martin Tenor" saxophone. Unmarked as such. But it is a Committee model. The serial number of 153xxx would put it at about a 1945. This one was completely restored and is in great shape. The relaquer is in very good condition with the engraving being nicely defined. The keys work great. The pads are in excellent shape. I can't find any dimples or pings. There are some light solder marks to be found if you look around. The neck serial number matches up of course. It comes with a lyre. Ligature and Selmer mouthpiece cap. The case is a modern deluxe model in great condition in and out with dual handles and keys. It is very solid and weighs quite a bit on it's own. You'll be very pleased with this Martin. Good luck. Please explore my feedback. As always. If you are not satisfied, you ... moremay return for a refund of your purchase price. Bid by proxy. Thank you.

This listing includes both a Bb Tenor and an Eb Alto Martin Master Model"Typewriter" The Tenor is in playable condition and produces a deep rich vintage sax sound. I am the second owner of this beauty I believe it is original lacquer unbelievable quality for its age. Very few minor dints and dings and scratches. This sax plays as is but may need some adjustments for your playing style and to make it 100% serial# 98874 includes original case. The Alto needs some adjustment and maybe a few new pads to make this saxophone playable key work is good nothing frozen or stuck and good action. original lacquer is about 50% but no major ding or dents with a few minor repairs this sax will really sing. serial# 98777 includes a case for shipping but not original. Stand not included. Officially called"Master" This model soon was nick-named"Typewriter" ... morebecause of the special key-design. When you look at the low Eb and C key you can imagine having trouble playing quick changes. Sound wise however this is a real Martin. Heavy. Full bodied, in one word American. They where only made a short while. Known serial numbers range from 94K to 102K and indicates'29- 32) They where made simultaneous with the Handcraft(Known serial numbers from 19K to 108K) I expect this model to be comparable to a Handcraft. Good sounding. Well made, good quality. According to the Sax Value Guide MARTIN These horns are under appreciated. They are undervalued. Play one in good adjustment and you’ll see what I mean. All of the Martin horns have a sweet sound. And a very lush lower end. The horns from 1933(Handcraft Committee) through the early 60’s(the Magna) can hold their own with anything ever made. There are lots of variations on the Martin theme, and below are the ones that I think you should consider. The early ones are mostly seen in silver, add 15% for gold plate. From the Committee on, they are almost always lacquer. Add 15% for silver, 25% for gold. I’ve seen a couple of Committee models with sterling silver necks

The information I have been able to find on this amazing sax is that the company was purchased by Martin in 1928. So this horn was built prior to that time. This horn has a huge bell and an even bigger sound. The lower register speaks sweeter than any other sax I have ever played! Truly amazing tone. Martin learned a lot from these guys! This horn was played professionally prior to my purchase. It was adjusted very well and has a great feel. The horn is in original patina with about 80-90% lacquer remaining. However it has darkened with age. This horn has rolled tone holes and looks very similar to my Martin Handcrafts of that era. This auction includes the sax. Matching large bore neck, and Gator soft side case. This is not a cheap gig bag. It is a nice case that protects the horn well.just easier on your car and house doors.
